Supernature Oils has secured a listing for several of its multi award-winning cold pressed rapeseed oil products with grocery retailer Park’n’Shop in Hong Kong, in their gourmet retail offerings. The first producer of Scotland’s homegrown alternative to olive oil to do so. New report on occupational segregation in the Highlands

This report commissioned by Highlands and Islands Enterprise highlights the issue of occupational segregation across the Highlands and Islands area. Occupational segregation is explained as the distribution and concentration of people across and within jobs, based on demographic characteristics, most often – gender. Occupational segregation affects both men and women and is an issue that impacts upon equality and social cohesion as well as economic performance. New report out from Engender – Sex and Power in Scotland, 2017

This report sets out the position of women and men’s representation in positions of authority and influence in Scotland. It highlights that in 2017, women still have unequal access to power, decision-making and participation throughout all areas of public life. Women's Enterprise Scotland (WES), the not-for-profit community interest company which works to improve the commercial culture for women-led business ownership, today announces the launch of its Business Advisor Gender Balance (BAGB) Training and Certification Programme. The launch coincides with International Women’s Day (March 8th) and follows WES research into female entrepreneurship. 78% of respondents in the research said business advice services should be more aware of the differences in support needs between men and women, with almost 80% stating that staff would benefit from training on the provision of gender-appropriate support.
